So Julia Gillard won the election.
I normally don’t comment much on politics because I really don’t know enough and it gets too many people offside as a result of differing views.
But when I was dropping off my dry-cleaning into the newsagency today (yes, I am going to get dressed up in a suit for a talk I’m doing next week – very rare for me to be in a suit – my father who never liked wearing suits would be so proud
…
I heard this guy going on about the fact Labor and the Greens would produce the most left-wing government since Federation…
and that Julia Gillard was dangerous.
Now that may or may not be the case…
But here’s what annoys me more than anything about the whole election thing…
Whatever the politicians do once they get into power…
YOU can’t do much about it.
YOU have very little influence over how they act.
… so why would you invest your mind and energy into bitching about it.
Wouldn’t all of us be far better off if we looked at the things we can control?
Things like our education… how many marketing calls you are going to make this week… how many of your top clients you are going to show your appreciation to…
how many new marketing approaches you are going to test over the next month…
… because they are the things you can control.
It makes sense, doesn’t it?
You see, one of the things I noticed when the whole Global Financial Crisis was going on…
… is the clients I knew who were making money were still making a bundle of cash…
and those who were struggling were still struggling.
It’s time to focus on your biggest enemy.
And your biggest enemy isn’t called the GFC… it’s not called Julia Gillard and it’s not called Tony Abbot.
Your biggest enemy is YOU… your thinking… your beliefs…
And when you truly get this and make the commitment to focus on changing you…
You become unbeatable.
That is, if you take the steps recommended on this web site as well.
So rather than whingeing or celebrating the election result, make the decision to take some action today to change you…
and get ready for some real changes in your life.
P.S. Expecting to become a raging success by bitching and moaning about the election results is like taking cough medicine for a toe infection.
It isn’t going to work. Go to this web site instead and discover the number one secret to getting an unfair advantage over virtually everyone you know.
