This week I’ve had some trouble accessing the database on my computer. So I’ve been trolling over to my wife’s computer to book meetings and find out my schedule, etc.

Anyway, I jumped on the phone to my technical guy and after he advised me to restart my computer and that didn’t work…

… he asked me to right click on the icon at the bottom and maximise the screen.

And that was it. It was done. Fixed. And it took about 5 seconds.

Apart from me feeling like a bit of a dill, What does this prove?

It proves that when you speak with experts in their field of endeavour what is easy for them is difficult for you (or they can show you things you wouldn’t even think about).

It kind of reminds me of the story I heard at an Anthony Robbins seminar when I was about 17. It went something like this…

There’s this major shopping centre where the elevators or lifts weren’t working.

It was costing them thousands of dollars by the minute.

The managers were in a panic.

They called out a few people who couldn’t fix. it. Then they called out somebody else to fix the problem.

He did it in about one minute flat by pressing a few buttons.

And then he charged them a HEFTY FEE.

Something like $10,000.

The managers were in shock. How can you charge $10,000 for something which only took one minute.

He wrote on his invoice:

Investment for pressing the buttons: $1
Knowing which buttons to press: $9999

Never forget that no matter what the field – including advertising – it is knowledge which allows you to make the right decisions fast and get a step ahead of everyone else.

And if you want to get more customers, there is no better knowledge than what you will learn at http://www.morecustomersmadeeasy.com

Also, if you are advertising and not getting the response you know you should, you’d be surprised by how much you’d achieve if I focused an hour critiquing your ad or sales letter at http://www.scottbywater.com/critique
