I remember when I was 15 and I first saw a brochure for Anthony Robbins.

I knew I had to be at that seminar.

And after begging and pleading with my parents, and paying for the ticket, I ended up making my way there.

Obviously, Mr. Robbins is a great motivator. And probably one of the best people I have ever seen on stage.

And I have no doubt that much of what I learnt that weekend in Darling Harbour has rubbed off on me ever since.

After all, we all need a little motivation in life, don’t we?

And you can’t expect to get it from the news.

I just flicked over to the local news reviews today and I can see articles about families having to choose between heating or eating… someone starving to death in hospital…and how deer hunters are leaving the children deer for dead.

And while it might be true, it’s certainly not focusing on the positive things happening in the world, is it?

But you can.

No matter what business you are in, you can decide to spread good news rather than bad news.

Think about it. It doesn’t matter if you are a chiropractor, a mechanic, a carpet distributor, a real estate agent or  whatever…

You can spread good news and take the time to educate your customers on how to live a better life… how to get more out of their business… how to take care of their health.

You can entertain them, tell them funny stories, share your life with them.

After all, in todays sea of negativity… where every newspaper you look you hear the sad stories… where so many people are telling you it can’t be done… and suffering from the disease of “I can’t itis”…where most people are encouraged to pop a pill rather than look at what’s really causing their health problems…

what would happen if you started to be the voice of possibility?

Your customers would appreciate it. You would become a welcome guest instead of an annoying pest.
And you would add a little ray of sunshine to the lives you touch.
