As I mentioned earlier, I have a 12-point can’t fail system that when you do as I say guarantees that you’ll profit.
Well, let’s have a look at exactly what these points are and what I’ll do for you.
1. I’ll rip your headline apart: Often times marketers, maybe even you, leave this up to their graphic designer, who may not be familiar with direct marketing concepts. Other times, marketers make up their own headline that lacks the punch that it needs to instantly grab the attention of visitors to their website.
2. I’ll dissect your subheads: The rule of thumb is that readers should be able to scroll and scan your headlines and sub headlines—even if they don’t read anything else on the page, they should still know what you’re offering & be compelled enough to take action. I’ll check to see if your copy does this.
3. I’ll tear your opening paragraph to pieces too: This is where you absolutely MUST connect with the reader, letting him or her know that you totally understand where they are, how they feel, and that you have the solution to solve their problem. Miss this and your copy is sure to fail.
4. I’ll check for legit testimonials and proof elements: There’s nothing more important than ensuring all of your proof elements are incorporated you’re your copy and add up. Buyers are extremely savvy these days, so you’ll want to get everything you can out of your testimonials, statistics and aspects of the sales copy you can use to give you credentials.
5. I’ll zero-in on your bullet points: In many cases, bullets can make a huge difference to your success and allow you to highlight portions of your copy and provides quick hits for readers – ultimately improving the odds prospects will continue reading your copy.
6. I’ll clamp down on your USP like a hawk: If you don’t have a unique selling point, then you’re throwing money down the drain, plain and simple. The only way to reach your full potential is to be different than everyone else out there. I’ll check to see if you have a unique twist that will attract a feeding frenzy of buyers.
7. I’ll shred your offer to pieces: Often times I see many marketers struggling to make it clear exactly what they’re offering. Needless to say that if YOU the product or service developer is confused, then the potential buyer is. But don’t worry, I’ll inspect your offer to see if there’s anything out of place or unclear and tell you what you need to do to fix it.
8. I’ll Inspect your persuasion architecture: Just like your English teacher taught you that an essay has a certain ‘structure’ so does a sales letter.
9. I’ll double check your target market: This is where a lot…I mean a lot of marketers and business owners go wrong. Targeting the wrong crowd. This can make or break your campaigns, so in this stage, I’ll double check to ensure that you’re reaching those whom you really want to reach.
10. I’ll study your order page: Your order page is a sticky area, so you don’t want anything out of place here. Good for you that I’ve seen it all, so I know exactly what should and should not be there. I’ll study your order page to ensure you’re all good.
11. I’ll dissect your call to action: If after reading your letter I don’t take the bait, chances are that those in your market won’t either. I’ll give you several recommendations to ensure your call to action hits emotional triggers that actually causes potential buyers to take action. A common flaw that I’ve seen over the years is that many offers never ever ask the reader to buy.
12. I’ll tear your post script from the inside-out: whether you know it or not, the P.S. is one of the most read parts of a sales letter. However, it’s also a common area where many business owners goof up. I’ll tear you post script up from the inside-out and check for thing that you should and should not say to avoid any possible goof-ups that can cost you a ton in sales.
