How Scott Bywater Went From Failure to Success in Business

This video walks you through my entire journey to go from where I was to where I am today.

You’ll hear about my “anti-abundance” upbringing. You’ll find out about how I was terrible at selling in the beginning and almost got fired from my job. And you’ll discover how I was almost kicked out on the street after my failed experience as a hairdresser.

I’m also going to be sharing a story with you about my wife. After all, without her wisdom and guidance, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Please go easy on me with your comments on the blog. I may come across as if I am strong, centred and certain of myself. But the reality is those close to me know I am actually quite sensitive. So please don’t nail me to the cross for sharing these private details about my life with you.

    Hi Scott
    That was a gutsy effort, and I hear what you are saying about coaching. I have an 8 year old son who I coach Motocross most afternoons. Some times when I tell him what he should be doing, this or that. If only he would just do it and not let his fear of failure (falling off) kick in. He would nail it.

    I think thats the same with most business owners. If they keep the throttle Wide open and with help from a coach that has past experience, you might not get right the first time but after a few attemps, and as your confidence grows, you will nail it.

    I like the style of your presentation. You kept it real by not being too polished, you surrendered something of yourself to show your offer not to be totally one sided and therefore too good to be true and you came across very honest.     That was great and puts a person to a name and face. I have been getting your emails for a while and I must admit, you appear “different” in the video. Better than my previous perception of you as a person as this video makes you real and reveals more of who you really are as a person. The sharing of your past was a good idea too.     Scott, I think we are all similar – appearing strong on the outside, and all sensitive on the inside. For once I think your wife was wrong (she isn’t very often wrong though…) as she was suggesting you not be so open in this video. It worked well. It made you human and believable. I would also be interested in how you overcame that ‘poverty mindset’ – as recognising you have it is not necessarily the same as changing it!
