One of the keys to your online success is to own more of the internet.
Basically this means to have more web sites out there with your name stamped on them. And there are many ways to do this including articles, podcasts, youtube videos, etc.

But one of the easiest ways to do it is to start a blog.

You can do this by simply going to wordpress.com and playing around.

The bottom line is a blog is really easy to use.

And they get indexed by the search engines really easily. For instance, the other day I wrote an article titled “How to get tons of ideas.”
Now if you go to google.com and type in “how to get tons of ideas” you’ll notice my article comes up as number one. Granted, it is the exact name of the title of my blog. And I am not up there for a major keyword, but it gives you an indication of the way the whole process works.
Obviously, if I was keyword savvy I could pick out some ‘long tail keywords’ (keywords with many words) and optimise for them by mentioning the word several times in the article.

I don’t do that. But I might one day.

Anyway, the big question is: DO BLOGS ACTUALLY WORK

Well, I am new to the game.

So I cannot say they have a huge impact for sure. But my little boy woke me up at 3:30am this morning and I thought I’d check out twitter on my iphone (yes, my mind never shuts down, as my wife keeps telling me ;-) and came across a
tweet which reffered me to a site called hubspot which stated that according to one of their studies…
Web sites who blog get 55% more visitors
Web sites who blog get 97% more inbound links (which improves your results with the search engines)
web sites who blog get 434% more inedxed pages

Good enough reason to start blogging, me thinks.

After all, the answer to success online comes down to two things:

1. Getting more traffic via blogging, videos, podcasts and hundreds of other strategies you can learn about by clicking here

2. Converting that traffic into sales by understanding how to create compelling copy

All fo now.

Here’s something you probably won’t hear from many copywriters:

Good copy is NOT the most important part of any advertisement.

In fact, it’s far more important to have a good list with average writing skills and an average product than it is to be the best writer on the planet with the best product on the planet and a  bad list.

Of course, you need to have all of the above in order to generate strong sales.

But having the right list is the most important. In fact, I’ve seen the right list turn BAD copy into lots of moolah.

And while you can get some great lists from companies such as the  Prospect Shop  in Australia…

Or the SRDS if you are looking to mail overseas…

Do you want to know what the best type of mailing list is?

It’s a mailing list you develop yourself.

It’s a mailing list of people who like you and trust you.

It’s a mailing list of people you have developed a relationship with.

… because when you get yourself one of these you have an unfair
advantage over your competition.

… and you also have an asset which will increase the value of your
business when you sell.

… and you have something which will help you see out any economic
downturn.

Yet it never ceases to amaze me that many people don’t take the time to develop a mailing list.

For instance, if you’re a retailer all you need to do is ask people  for their business cards or to fill in a card to go in some form of a  draw.

Same if you’re at a trade show.

And if you’re advertising a product or service which sells a high end product (i.e. consulting services, machinery, real estate, etc) then  you really should be advertising the opportunity to get important  information in exchange for your prospects contact details.

The bottom line is nothing is more important than your own mailing list.

And that’s why I show you exactly how to add hundreds of people to your list every month (including a swipe file of real ads for you to use as a model) in the first lesson of http://www.morecustomersmadeeasy.com

Everyone these days seems to want to know how to make money online.

Not many people do. And there’s really two core reasons for this…

1. Their web site doesn’t convert

or

2. They don’t get enough traffic
Having one without the other is like having a car with a motor and no wheels
or with a wheels and no motor.

It aint going to go anywhere.

So how do you convert.

You need top sales copy on your web page using tips you’ll learn at
http://www.copywritingthatsells.com.au/cashflow

You need an autoresponder series.

And you need a squeeze page or method of getting people to subscribe.

Of course, you can visit http://www.copywritingthatsells.com.au/quote and get some awesome copy created which can virtually set up a lead generation  machine.

But the bottom line is all of this is useless without traffic.

So where do you get traffic from?

Well, most people don’t realise you can get a ton of traffic from offline  mediums such as postcards, press ads and the like.

But you can also get traffic from…

Podcasts
Blogs
Social Media (facebook, twitter, digg, lihked in, etc)
Banner Advertising
Google Adwords
Search Engine Optimisation
Article Marketing (i.e. ezinearticles)
Video Marketing (i.e. youtube)
Affiliates

… and a bundle of other places.

It all sounds pretty confusing, doesn’t it?

I thought so too. That was until I purchased a guide which walks you  through virtually everything you need to know to get traffic to your web site.

You can find out more about it by clicking here

It may just be the missing link you’ve been searching for.
